Hanzian Bus: Skoolie Feature Friday
Today’s Feature Friday is the Hanzian Bus!
The @hanzian_bus account features a traveling family of three (soon to be four!) traveling around the US in their converted skoolie. And this bus stands out from the crowd, for a variety of reasons.
What do we love so much about the Hanzian Bus? Keep reading to find out.
THAT COLOR SCHEME
We are total suckers for teal. When we were building our own bus, we considered using it ourselves but decided to stay totally neutral on the design and add our color pops through the decor. While we’re happy with that choice, every time we see @hanzian_bus pop up in our feed, we have just a touch of color envy.
The whiteboard ceiling, the wicker baskets, the rustic wood touches, and of course, that striking jewel-toned teal are brilliant together. Their bus strikes just the right blend of color and pattern, and we totally dig the aesthetic.

A NURSERY FIT FOR A PRINCESS
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a magical castle – er, school bus. In any event, this tiny skoolie nursery is fit for a little princess. Ian and Hannah recently removed the wall that used to be behind the crib and made this space even more magical with that light pouring through. While we loved the patterned wallpaper that used to reside there, you just can’t beat the ambiance of natural light.

THAT KITCHEN THOUGH…
The kitchen on Hanzian Bus is a showstopper. We already waxed poetic about the color, and here it’s set off to it’s greatest advantage against the huge white farm-style sink and the tiny white stove. I’m not sure a tiny kitchen can get any more adorable. Hannah frequently changes out the decor on the shelf to keep it fresh, and we always look forward to seeing her newest arrangements.

CLOSET SPACE BEHIND BARN-STYLE DOORS
Barn-style doors are all the rage right now, and they make sense in a bus. They don’t swing out or take up unnecessary space. The Hanzian Bus utilizes them for their closet, which is massive by skoolie standards. Look at much they’ve managed to fit by being clever with storage solutions – all hidden behind those gorgeous doors.

MAXIMIZING SPACE
Speaking of maximizing space, let’s head back out to the kitchen. Here’s a place where some forethought and careful planning really paid off. This kitchen isn’t large by any means, but it packs a TON of thoughtfully designed storage to make sure everything they need still has a place. And especially when traveling with kids, who come with their own crazy amount of stuff, maximizing every ounce of space you have is a must. Between the closet and kitchen, it’s obvious Ian and Hannah did their homework and made the most of what they had to work with space-wise.

THE MOST ADORABLE BATHROOM VANITY
Bathrooms in tiny homes come in all shapes and sizes and layouts. Some people opt for a utilitarian bathroom, some go for more space as we did with our layout. But this one is special, in our opinion, because of this amazingly cute little vanity. Rather than a closed-off cupboard, they’ve created a rustic, antique feel with the pipe legs. And bonus – they salvaged their adorable little faucet for the sink from one they found in the garbage!
