Today’s Feature Friday – Deliberate Life Bus!
We’ve featured some standout skoolies so far in our Feature Friday series, but this week’s bus has some seriously amazing design details that we absolutely love. We’ve followed along on their adventures over mountains and through deserts. During this time, the bus has undergone a few renovations, each one better than the last.

THE MOST GORGEOUS FLOORS WE’VE EVER SEEN
Our hands-down favorite element in this bus is the gorgeous flooring. Pops of large, bold colors can be done in small spaces, but they’re hard to pull off without making the space feel smaller and more closed in. Genius tip? Do it on the floor! These bright teal floors are absolutely fun and add real depth to a small space. This would be a gorgeous little home on wheels with neutral floors, but these take it up to a whole new level, in our opinion.

AN ADORABLE FUNCTIONAL BATHROOM
First of all, we think putting the bathroom next to the side door is genius. For those of us who utilize a composting toilet, not needing to walk tanks through the interior of the house is such a nicety. Not to mention the other perks of having a bathroom with an exterior door. Are the kids coming home from the beach all sandy? Straight into the shower! Dog all muddy? Wash him out the side! Plus, their little toilet and stock tank shower bathroom is the perfect blend of functional and cute.

A WORKSPACE WITH A VIEW
Let’s just take a moment to completely fall in love with this workspace that serves as a work and homeschool area for the family. Can you imagine glancing up from work to take in whatever natural setting you happened to be parked in? It’s one of our personal favorite parts of bus life – the views. And being able to do your daily grind at a perfectly appointed little workspace like this, surrounded by those views, seems one of the best ways we can think of to deal with a long workday.

THAT LITTLE WOODSTOVE
We love the adorable little setup of this wood stove. It blends so seamlessly with the rest of the house as part of the actual decor and overall feel, as opposed to some that are there to just do the job. We love that they built a little wood holder into the work table beside it, and we love how the surround uses rustic materials next to the new stove to mix old and new.

DECOR WITH ALL THE RIGHT DETAILS
Let’s talk about the details. That wall, with its beautiful pattern, against pots and pans and clocks. The soft wood tones are paired with white cupboards and rustic metals with pops of blue, purple, and orange. The decor in this bus is very real to me – bits of daily life here and there, treasures found during travels, evidence of a life being lived well.
